Volunteering (unpaid work)

  • Do you do any volunteering work, and if so, is there a reason you choose to do this?
  • Do you carry out any paid work alongside this?
  • Are there any other forms of unpaid work that you carry out?

Why the contribution is important

Volunteering is just as important as paid work and so all experiences and views are equally important.

This is just one idea to get you thinking about volunteering.

You're welcome to write about something else that's related, or make a suggestion.

Thank you for voicing your thoughts.

I don't volunteer, although I'd like to, because I don't have time. Once you work full time, have a family, and try to do some exercise and take some time for a social life/relaxing, there's not a lot of time left! It would be great if more employers valued charity/volunteering work, and provided days off for staff to undertake it.
